Welcome back everyone and wishing you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.
We would like to thank you all for supporting our Christmas Nativity which proved to be a great success. We would also like to thank all those adults who helped make the night so special. This was a tremendous success for our school funds, as we raised £600.
Our Christmas Raffle was a great success too. Thank you all so much for your generosity. £527 was raised for our chosen charity this year, Mary’s Meals. We hope to build on this £527 with another Charity fundraiser in Easter.
Following on from School Council Meetings – P.5 children requested that they have the opportunity to go swimming this year. Interestingly P.3 & P.4 School Council Reps supported this request, P.6 & P.7 did not. We have explored this request and with manageable numbers of 34 we have granted the request. P.5’s will be accessing the school swimming programme this year. To be reviewed again next year.
Similar to previous years we have booked the hall to play Netball and Soccer before the swim. The cost per pupil is £4 each Tuesday. Pupils wear uniform into school and bring PE gear and swimming gear to change into. P.5-P7 will have their lunch/dinner earlier on these days as we will be leaving school at 12.30pm. Pupils are asked not to bring any money as they will not be permitted to use the vending machines.
The closing date for School Admissions is Wednesday the 10th of January at 12pm. Application forms are available from the EANI website or the school office. It is very important applications are received before this date and time as we expect larger than average numbers of applicants. If an application is late, it will automatically go to the bottom of the list regardless of our admissions criteria.
