Congratulations to the P.7 girls who won the Maguiresbridge P.S soccer tournament yesterday, Wednesday 21st May. The girls played brilliantly to progress through their group unbeaten and also winners in their semi final stage against Lisbellaw P.S. They then played Maguiresbridge P.S in a very tight and tense affair. Our girls scored early, only for MPS to score with the last kick of the game. No more scores in extra time so it went to penalties. Huge credit to our goalkeeper and captain on the day Matilda who saved both penalties and Meabh and Eimile who scored their penalties. Well done to all girls involved, another trophy for the school trophy cabinet again this year. Sincere thanks to Mrs Irvine and all the staff of MPS for organising the tournament and Mark and Glen from Lisbellaw United Soccer club for running the games on the day.
