Music Tuition

Music Tuition for P5-P7 will begin on Thursday the 27th of September.

PE Programme

On PE days children must wear their uniform into school and bring their PE Gear in a bag to change into. Fermanagh Games Development Manager has been in contact and confirmed the coaching programme for the year. P.6 & P.7 Tuesdays 9.30am – 10.45am

Johnny Garrity (Ulster Council Coach) will be providing a 6 week block to P.1-4 which we hope will continue but this depends on funding being made available.

P.3 & P.4 Mondays 2pm – 3pm

P.1 & P.2 Mondays 1.15pm – 2pm P.1’s will wear uniform for PE during month of September. Starting from Monday 1st of October P1’s will wear uniform into school and then change into PE gear.



We are very excited to announce that the children will be learning Mandarin over this year. The classes will be delivered by an exchange student, facilitated through the South West College on Wednesday mornings beginning the 25th of Sept. The teacher will spend 35mins in each of the older classes and 10mins in the foundation stage.

After Schools Clubs

Homework Club continues for P.7’s completing the Transfer Test on Tuesday and Thursdays.

Spanish Classes are back on Tuesdays and begin Tuesday the 25th of Sep. Proposed times are P4 & P.5 3.30pm to 4pm and P.6 & P7 4pm to 4.30pm but his will depend on numbers. Through your child let their teacher know if they would be staying over for Spanish.

Active Sports for P.6 & P7 on Wednesdays 3.15pm to 4.15pm

Rugby Coaching

We will have Eugene Mc Kenna from Ulster Rugby and Clogher Valley RFC providing coaching sessions for P.6 & 7 classes on Fridays for a 6 week block. We are hopeful to get P5’s involved too. Begins on Friday the 13th of Sep.

Shared Education Program

Teachers from St. Mary’s P.S and Maguiresbridge CPS are meeting during September to plan for Shared Lessons which will begin in October. The P.6 & P7 program will begin after Christmas.

Colour Run for P.7’s on Friday the 21st of Sept. in the Share Centre


We have successfully applied to get involved in the SUSTRANS program. The program eencourages school children to become more active, especially travelling to school. Domhnall from SUSTRANS will be telling the children all about the program at assembly on Friday the 28th of Sep.

School Mass

Canon Mullin will celebrate our Beginning of Year School Mass on Thursday 27th Sept at 11am in St. Mary’s Church. If you are available, we invite all parents and extended family to celebrate a new school year.


P.6 & P7 Colour Run

To celebrate International Day of Peace, the Uniting Erne East programme are hosting a Colour Run in Share Discovery Village, Lisnaskea on 21st September. Our P.6 & P.7 students will be participating in this year’s run. More details to follow next week.
